MeetingMate on Mac, Windows and Linux.
The Free individual app installs like any other app and runs on your own computer. A shared browser workspace runs in any browser and requires Pro for team use.
You're already running MeetingMate. Open the app →
Your download for has started. Didn't start? Download it again. The steps for opening it the first time are below.
Get MeetingMate
On a computer it's one download: the first time it opens, MeetingMate fetches Ollama and its AI models (a few GB, once) and shows the progress. No Terminal, no Python. On a phone, it installs from your browser to your home screen, with nothing to download.
Mac
Apple Silicon (M1 or later), macOS 14 or later.
DownloadOpen the disk image and drag MeetingMate to Applications.
Linux

Install Ollama and pull the models
Get Ollama from ollama.com, then pull a local model for writing and a model for search:
ollama pull qwen2.5:3b ollama pull nomic-embed-textOptional: sign in to Ollama Cloud and choose its model when starting MeetingMate. The local model remains the fallback. Using a cloud model sends the text of each request to Ollama's cloud.
ollama signin ollama pull gpt-oss:120b-cloud -
Get the code
git clone https://github.com/ntuong/meeting-mate.git cd meeting-mate -
Install dependencies
A virtual environment keeps things tidy:
python3 -m venv .venv source .venv/bin/activate pip install -r requirements.txtTo record calls in desktop apps (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack huddles, FaceTime), MeetingMate builds a small recording helper the first time you use it. That needs macOS 15 or later and Apple's command line tools:
xcode-select --install -
Start MeetingMate
python3 -m meetingmateTo use the optional cloud model, start with
MEETINGMATE_MODEL=gpt-oss:120b-cloud python3 -m meetingmate. -
Open it in your browser
Go to
http://127.0.0.1:8810. Allow microphone access when your browser asks. To see your calendar, click Connect calendar and allow access in the macOS dialog. The first time you record with This computer: Zoom, Teams, Slack, Meet…, macOS asks to allow Screen & System Audio Recording; that's how MeetingMate hears the other side of the call without a bot.
Start a shared browser workspace
Team use requires Pro. When Pro checkout and license enforcement are available, choose Create a workspace on a configured MeetingMate host, verify your email, and invite your team. Your team only needs a browser. Python, Ollama and transcription models run on the host.
This local preview does not connect to a hosted account. A host operator can use the packaged Docker stack, which installs the service dependencies and models during deployment.
The operator still supplies a host, HTTPS domain, email service and off-host backups. Docker is the self-hosted option; no server software is installed on each team member's device.
